Claudia & James eShoot at the beautiful Holkham Hall

I met Claudia and James at the beautiful Holkham Hall last week for a reccy of the venue for their wedding in July and to do their eShoot.  Holkham Hall is a magnificent place, and The Temple, where the ceremony will take place, has an almost mystical feel.  I think it fits perfectly with the guys' wedding theme - A Midsummer Night's Dream.

It's going to be a really special day, and to be honest, I can't wait to shoot Claudia and James' wedding.

Stunning wedding venue!

I would love to shoot some weddings here.....

Baby Jack

It was a beautiful day in mid-April for baby Jack's first photo shoot.  We've had the coldest winter in something like 35 years, so we were truly blessed to have had a warm day allowing us to get outside and have some fun.  Jack seemed to love be able to crawl around the garden, it was his first outdoor adventure.

I really enjoyed the hour or so Fi and I spent with Jack, who is a total cutey, and his lovely parents, Emily and Michael.

More Beautiful Norfolk

Well, summer seems to be a long time coming this year. After the coldest winter in 35 years, we're having the coldest May in 17, apparently. Despite that, the countryside is looking simply amazing at the moment.

Here are a few shots from out and about at the weekend:

First All English Wedding for a while

In the last few years I've photographed Dutch, Belgique, American, Spanish, Irish, Welsh, Scottish, more Irish, Greek and French weddings.  Last weekend I was fortunate to be able to photograph Edwina and Gareth's beautiful day at St Giles Hotel in Norwich, England.

I confess to being slightly apprehensive about the available light at the venue but I'm pleased to say everything went off without a hitch.  Edwina & Gareth were great fun and allowed me the time to try different locations including the stunning bridal suite.

Here's a few shots:

Beautiful England

Well in true English style, I'm going to start off by moaning about the weather.  My only concern about moving back to the UK was the, let's say, unpredictable weather.  I like to be warm.  I like sunshine. I hate the cold. But I love the lush countryside of my home country so the fact that it's still freezing despite being the middle of May is somewhat offset but the stunning scenery that I am lucky enough to live near.

I went out to meet a new wedding client today who'll be getting married in north norfolk in early June. The drive there was just spectacular with the rape seed oil fields in full bloom now.  May has always been my favourite month, although I'm sure it was warmer when I was a kid!

Anyway, here's a couple of snaps I took on the way using my little point and shoot camera.  They were all rushed as a) I didn't want to be late, and b) each time I stopped the car to shoot I was blocking the single lane road I was driving along.

Family shoot

Well, despite the weather being 'unseasonal' still, I was again lucky enough to get a few dry, warmish hours the other week to photograph Pip and Steve with their family. Even though half the family had literally just stepped off the plane from Canada, everyone was on top form, including 9 month of Reese, who was a total cutey.

Here's a few shots.
