Out and About

Some more quick snaps from my travels.  Busy period about to start so these are probably the last for a while.  Our "Get To Know Us"  promo got the phone ringing like crazy and the wedding season has really kicked off now.

Norfolk Life Commission

I was lucky enough recently to be commissioned by a local business to create a gallery in their Client Reception Area.  Having discussed their requirements, we decided a gallery depicting elements of the local area would seat nicely alongside the very modern, corporate style of the rest of the property.

So I set about starting to collect images.  This will be quite a long term project as I intend to get different parts of the county at different times of the year, but here are a few shots that might, or might not, make it into the final selection.

My new website is now online

I don't know if it was the change of country or just that Spring is in the air, but I decided a couple of weeks ago that our website needed a revamp.

I wanted a site that still looked stylish and contemporary but allowed me to display my images much better than a the previous site.  I think the new design does that pretty well.

Jessica & Leon's wedding - Spain march 2010

Having only been back in the UK for 4 weeks we found ourselves back in Spain last weekend to shoot the wedding of Jessica and Leon.  We had a great time and it was a pleasure to meet all their friends and family. What a lovely bunch of people.

Busy times

I really can't believe how our lives have changed in such a short period of time.  3 months ago we were trotting along nicely in the warmth of southern Spain wondering what 2010 would bring, and here we are just a few weeks later firmly ensconced in the UK.

We've only been back a little over a fortnight and we've already exhibited at the fabulous EDP wedding show, and booked more weddings in 10 days than we booked in the previous 6 months. So the move appears to have been a positive one and I want to thank our friends (you know who you are) for helping us do it.

We haven't really had time to enjoy our beautiful England yet and the camera has hardly been out of the bag since the new year, but all that is about to change.  We have just about unpacked everything in our new abode which means it's time to start the studio development.  Not sure how we're going to find the time to get it done as the diary is looking seriously full now, but we'll get there.  It'll be a real labour of love.

Exhibition at El Campanario

A belated 'Thank You' to everyone who attend much exhibition at El Campanario throughout November, and a special hug and thanks to Dunja and her team for allowing me to exhibit there in the first place.

Sales we were well beyond what I had hoped for, so thanks a million to everyone!

Here's to a great New Year!

Well, 2010 has started with a bang for us. Having popped back to the UK for a few weeks in December it quickly became apparent just how much we were missing our homeland. After a decade away this was completely unexpected.

Anyway, one thing lead to another, and to cut a long story short, Fiona and I have decided to open a new studio in the UK and spend much more time there. We'll still be shooting weddings in Spain (already have more booked for this year than we had this time last year) and we'll be keeping our home there too, but we intend to spend at least 70% of our time back home setting up and promoting the new studio. To say I'm excited would be the biggest understatement of the year so far. More details about the studio will be published on my website in the coming weeks.

Having stayed in the UK for the whole of December we were treated to our first white christmas in many, many years. We spent it with our best friends and it was simply the best Christmas ever. Just perfect.
